Join us for a viewing of the NSERC webinar on Discovery Grant submission for 2019. The webinar has limited space online and often people can not login to the link. Sara Kenno will have the projector setup with the webinar on the speakers for all to view. As well, Sara will be in attendance before and after the webinar for any questions on your application. In order to assist NSERC Discovery and RTI applicants with their Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) statements required as part of this years application, we are having a workshop and brief presentation to provide you with some tips and considerations when writing your EDI (Equity Diversity Inclusion) HQP sections for your NSERC DG or RTI applications.
Date and Time: Friday October 11, 2019 from 2:30-4:00 pm

**There is still time to edit your HQP sections before the final deadlines to NSERC**
ORIS will be presenting information and tips on what you should consider including in your application that will outline your EDI principles you utilize in your lab (i.e. hiring of students, supporting and training of students and other research personnel).
We will also be available for specific questions pertaining to your application before and after the main presentation (2:00-2:30, 4:00-4:30).
If you choose to update you HQP section following this presentation, please send Sara Kenno (skenno@uwindsor.ca) an updated version of your application for review.

Joint Mitacs-SOSCIP Cleantech Initiative: Advancing Cleantech Innovation with AI and Digital Technologies
Mitacs and SOSCIP launched at the beginning of Feb a joint Cleantech Initiative to bring their collective resources in advanced computing, funding, and facilitating academic-industry partnerships to advance cleantech innovation with AI and digital technologies.
Hosted by the Innovations & Partnerships (IPO) this session will explore the following:
• Cleantech themes,
• Types of collaborative projects (from social sciences, non-technical to technical projects) that are of interest in this initiative,
• SOSCIP’s computing platforms,
• Overview of Mitacs funding programs and
• Mitacs’ and SOSCIP’s role in facilitating successful academic-industry partnerships.
This session is targeted to inform University of Windsor Investigators interested to collaborate with industry to advance cleantech innovation from informing policy to technical innovation. SOSCIP and Mitacs will present briefly on the above. The session will also feature example projects how Mitacs and SOSCIP programs supported them.
