Location: Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre Workshop Room 239
Instructors: Natasha Wiebe
By invitation only. Join a small group of researchers from different disciplines for a panel discussion and writing day devoted to the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant (PDG) application. Benefit from immediate answers to questions by grant recipients, colleagues, and the ORIS team -- and luxurious quiet writing time during which you and your team can finalize your application and CVs before the UWindsor deadline of October 18.

Schedule:
  • 11 AM to 12 PM – Panel Discussion with PDG recipients Jane Ku & Sean Horton
  • 12 – 1 PM – Lunch provided
  • 1 - 3 PM - Rahul Banerjee available to help with completing STRAC Attestation Module
  • 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM – Quiet writing (with support from Natasha and Kate; choose your start and end time)

  • Questions that could be addressed:
  • What do grant recipients wish that they knew before they submitted the PDG application?
  • What cash or in-kind contributions could I request from the University? My partner organizations?
  • What are some governance models?
  • What constitutes the evidence of formal partnership required by SSHRC?
  • What forms must my co-applicants, collaborators, and partner organizations complete? How do I ensure a smooth process?
  • Does the new Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) Attestation Module apply to my team?
  • Can someone help me complete the ORIS external funding checklist in the ERSO Portal?
