Visit Point Pelee

Thursday, May 14
Conference participants, both visitors and Windsor-Essex County residents alike, are invited to join us for an informal excursion to Point Pelee National Park the day after the Conference. On Thursday morning, May 14, we will meet on the University of Windsor campus to board vans and cars for a pleasant, hour-long drive to the park.

Point Pelee, known as 'the southern tip' of Canada, boasts one of the best sites to observe bird migration in North America. Expenditures for participants are limited to a modest Park entrance fee, lunch money, and souvenirs you may wish to purchase at the National Park pavilion and gift shop. Most participants will likely plan to be back to the Windsor campus by mid-afternoon. If you are free to join us, contact us at tlconf@uwindsor.ca.
