Nobuko Fujita

Nobuko Fujita is a Learning Specialist in the Office of Open Learning. Nobuko was previously the Distance Education Course Development Coordinator at Odette School of Business and an Assistant Professor of eLearning in the Faculty of Education at UWindsor. Before coming to Windsor, Nobuko was a postdoc design researcher on the Next Generation Teaching, Education, and Learning for Life project (http://next-tell.eu/), Scientific Coordinator Dr. Peter Reimann (University of Sydney) and Supervisor Dr. Ravi Vatrapu (Ryerson). An integrated project in the ICT Challenge of the 7th framework programme for R&D (FP7) of the European Union, its main objective is to provide, through research and development, computational and methodological support to teachers and students. Nobuko has a PhD specializing in online graduate education from the OISE/University of Toronto, a first-class MA in English Literature from Queens, and a BSc. and BA from UBC (Biopsychology, English Lit). She has taught undergraduate and graduate students in many courses, including teacher education seminar, educational psychology, educational technology, elearning, and research methods. She has over a decade of experience in educational development, has worked on many research grants (e.g. SSHRC, CFI, CIHR, MTCU, eCampusOntario) and has a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations in online, blended/hybrid, and open education.
