Dr. Tom Farrelly
Tom is an academic developer, particularly in eLearning, and a lecturer at Munster Technological University in Ireland where he teaches in the School of Health and Social Sciences, and is co-chair of the institutional Human Research Ethics Committee. He has a long history of working in e-learning and is particularly committed to supporting the transition of non-traditional learners to higher education (he does amazing work with the Irish Traveller communities), and international students. He’s also an open access advocate, and the Gasta Master (if you don’t know what Gasta is, check it out!). Tom has an academic background in social sciences and education. Tom is currently a Visiting Fellow in the Office of Open Learning
