How can communities mitigate the impacts of large scale infrastructure while also using the opportunity to grow? The Community Benefits movement is changing the game for how neighbourhoods interact with development projects! During this Lunch & Learn from the Windsor/Essex Community Benefits Coalition, hear stories from communities around North America, the organizing strategies behind them, and how Windsor-Essex is on the forefront of the movement in Canada.

Join ORIS for a Lunch and Learn with SOSCIP!
SOSCIP is a collaborative R&D consortium that connects Ontario’s research-intensive post-secondary institutions and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the province. Our mission is to bring together industrial partners and academic researchers and provide them with sophisticated advanced computing technologies and expertise to solve social, technical and business challenges across sectors and drive economic growth.
SOSCIP supports researchers from a wide array of disciplines by providing access to advanced computing resources, big data analytics and expertise not available anywhere else in Canada. This session will introduce you to the SOSCIP collaborative model and will describe the computing, technical and funding resources available through the program.
This session provides an opportunity to update faculty members about SOSCIP, how we can help them and how to get involved. There will be an hour long presentation with time available afterwards to speak directly with the SOSCIP representative.
