Carol Reader
Born in England, and with an identical twin, Carol Reader worked as Secretary to the Head of the British Civil Uranium Procurement Office in London before receiving her Commission in the Women’s Royal Naval Service. Her naval appointments included Staff Officer to Flag Officer Scotland & Northern Ireland, and Secretary to the Deputy Chief of Allied Staff at NATO Headquarters in London. Carol immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1988 and worked as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Calgary for twelve years. She moved to Ontario in 2000 where she works at the University of Windsor as a Research Associate, and is also registered as a part-time undergraduate student in Women’s Studies and History. Carol has been a Teaching Assistant since 2008 in both ‘in-class’ and ‘on-line’ courses. She has presented her research at two conferences, and has personal writing published in two collections.
