The Centre for Teaching and Learning's Brightspace Workshop series provides in-person and on-line synchronous learning opportunities. In-person workshops are offered in two varieties:
Step-by-Step: relaxed, slower-paced sessions and
Quick Steps: faster, technically driven sessions.
Select the delivery method and pace that works for you.
Start your Brightspace training with the Getting Started with Brightspace workshop to provide the basis for the more advanced workshops.
Once you are registered for a workshop, please remove your name from waitlists of workshops of the same name, so others can take your spot.

Creating & Using Rubrics in Brightspace
Are you looking for a more efficient way to use Rubrics to assess student work? If you are currently using paper Rubrics or even digital Rubrics in a Word format, the Rubric tool in Brightspace can make the process seamless and more efficient, while connecting to the Gradebook! The Rubric tool can be used to create Single-Point Rubrics or detailed analytic Rubrics that are text-only or use custom points. Participants in this hands-on session will build their own Rubric that may be used to assess and provide timely, meaningful feedback on Assignments, Discussions, and more. We will also spend some time learning about how to manage and share Rubrics with your colleagues.
