Andrew Allen
Dr. Andrew Allen is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor and the Director for the Joint PhD in Educational Studies between UWindsor, BrockU and LakeheadU. He was the university’s Anti-Racism Pedagogies Teaching Leadership Chair for the past 2 years. He is a former elementary classroom teacher in the Toronto District School Board and former Course Director at York University. He is the co-coordinator of the Urban Education Partnership teacher education program. His international development work includes rebuilding and supporting a canter for orphaned children and schools in the Singida region of Tanzania in East Africa. Dr. Allen’s research interests include Race, Class and Gender Issues, and Social Difference, Anti-oppression and Marginalization in Education.
