Enrique Chacón
Enrique Chacón was born in Bucaramanga (Colombia). He earned a university degree in History from Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia, and his Master’s in International/Intercultural Education at the University of Alberta. He came to Canada in 1995 initially to learn English as a second language. He has done extensive research on International education: international students at the University of Alberta (MEd thesis), intercultural communication, developing programs at the International Centre, as well as Spanish and Latin American studies. His teaching history includes Latin American Studies at the University of Alberta 1997- 2002, Spanish courses on language, culture and civilization at the University of Alberta 1996 – 2002, and he was also a Spanish instructor at the Faculty of Extension from 1997 – 2002. Mr. Chacón currently holds the position of International Student Advisor at the University of Windsor.
