Lee Wilson
Lee Wilson is an assistant professor of acting in the school of dramatic art. Lee holds Canadian, British, and Irish citizenship and is the founding artistic director of Resurgence Theatre Company in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, where he directed critically acclaimed productions of Hamlet, Twelfth Night, and Romeo and Juliet. He was nominated by his peers in 2013 for the Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award for his outstanding contribution to the classics and Shakespeare performance in Canada. His Irish directing credits include: A Fear and Loathing Actor in Dublin (Edinburgh Fringe); Running with Dinosaurs (New Theatre); East of Berlin and The Eurydice Project (Project Arts Centre). Associate Director to Joe Dowling on "A View from the Bridge" at Ireland's prestigious Gate Theatre. Canadian credits include Birmingham Conservatory & Michael Langham Workshop for directors (Stratford Festival); Assistant on The Who's Tommy and The Tempest stage/film productions starring Christopher Plummer (Des McAnuff, Stratford); Intern Director (Shaw Festival); Soulpepper Training Company with his mentor Robin Phillips. In Ireland, Lee is an associate member of ADA (Association of Drama Adjudicators). BFA in acting from Ryerson Theatre School. MFA in Directing from The Lir, Ireland's National Academy of Dramatic Art.
