Diane Trudgill
Diane Trudgill is a PhD student in the School of Social Work. She is also working toward completion of the University Teaching Certificate through the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Diane has experience as a TA from her undergrad studies (in psychology), and most recently as a GA for the social work statistics course. She also has experience facilitating college-level courses in the social service worker program at Durham College, and will be teaching in the MSWwp program at UWindsor this Fall. Having experience as both learner and teacher, Diane has a deep appreciation of the importance of providing meaningful feedback for students. Aside from the academic realm, Diane is a Registered Social Worker and works in a hospital where she completes biopsychosocial assessments for patients who are ready to discharge from the hospital. It was through this work that she developed an appreciation of what emergency department nurses experience in their day-to-day work, which directed her dissertation focus: posttraumatic stress and comorbid mental health symptomatology in emergency department nurses.
