Lorna Stolarchuk
As CTL’s Learning Technologies Educational Consultant, Lorie helps faculty, sessional instructors, and graduate students with effective pedagogy and use of educational technologies to improve student learning. She supports the Learning Management System (LMS) - Blackboard Learn, a variety of active learning software, virtual classrooms, eportfolios, learning analytics, video and content production, and other educational technologies. She has developed an extensive online LMS support site and has earned certificates in Blackboard Learn Advanced Teaching Essentials, Blackboard Learn GUI Administration, and ITIL, She is a member of the LMS Team, which was the recipient of the University of Windsor’s Impact Award in 2017. Lorie’s current duties also involve developing, teaching and facilitating workshops and courses, mentoring for the University Teaching Certificate (UTC), and preparing and delivering conference presentations for local, regional or international events. She co-developed and instructed the Online Education half-course for the UTC (2010-2016) in both the Sakai and Blackboard Learning Management systems, and currently offers the Teaching in a Blackboard Learning Environment course, which is also eligible for the UTC. She is a certified facilitator for the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW).
