Dora Cavallo-Medved
Dora Cavallo-Medved, Ph.D. is a learning specialist-AAS-III and researcher in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, where she teaches introductory biology. She is also a member of the Dean of Science office where she leads and mentors undergraduate students teams through the USci Network. Her pedagogical research is focused on student-faculty partnerships in lab development, public education and student leadership. Her work has shown that involving undergraduate students in curriculum and program development enriches their undergraduate experience and fosters the development of transferable skills. She is also the Translational Research Director of the Windsor Cancer Research Group, and is a recipient of both the Roger Thibert Teaching Excellence and the OCUFA Teaching Awards.
