Ashlyne O’Neil
Ashlyne O’Neil is a PhD Candidate in Applied Social Psychology, who is currently completing her dissertation on the relationship between emotional intelligence and student-defined academic success across disciplines. She works with the Office of Open Learning as a special project coordinator, supervising the Peer Assisted Learning Sessions program and partnering with faculty to enhance technology-enabled course designs. She was a three-time lab instructor and fourteen-time TA/GA, taught as a sessional instructor, completed the University Teaching Certificate (Level 1), and has facilitated various teaching, learning, and research related workshops, tutorials, and conference presentations. She has also been heavily involved in the GA/TA union, conference and workshop planning committees, and other professional development initiatives. When she (finally) graduates, she hopes to find an academic position where she can give her heart to teaching, mentoring, and educational development.
