Linda Coltman
Linda Coltman is a University of Windsor graduate student commencing PhD studies in sociology/social justice in Fall 2022 . She is also in the process of completing a University Teaching Certificate with the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Linda has served 9 terms as a GA and one term as a TA at the University of Windsor (within the departments of sociology, political science and philosophy, respectively) while completing prior undergraduate and graduate degrees. Through her lived experience as both a GA and TA as well as her UTC experience she has spent many hours grading student work and struggling to find a means of providing effective feedback that will enhance the experiences of the students she’s served as GA/TA for. Outside of her UofW roles, Linda serves in leadership the social services sector (primarily affordable housing/homelessness and poverty reduction considerations) and thus factors of equity and diversity and how to minimize the impacts of stigma and marginalization are key components of importance in what she is developing as her teaching philosophy guiding her educational roles.
