Samra Khan
Samra Khan is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Windsor. In her research, she uses both experimental and computational synthetic organic chemistry to work in cancer drug discovery with her advisor, Dr. John Trant. She computationally designs, and then makes, chemical cancer vaccines and next generation cancer drugs. Her goal is to both stop cancer developing in the first place while also providing new hope to those with advanced disease. Samra is usually quite upbeat except when organic chemistry keeps her on her toes! When she isn’t in her lab or talking to super computers, she is sharing giggles with her one-year-old toddler!
