Resisting Pedagogies: A Community of Practice
Join us for a community of practice for educators interested in Resisting Pedagogies (e.g., Anti-Racist, Feminist, Queer). Once a month we will come together to reflect, discuss, and share ideas, resources and strategies to promote critical thinking in the classroom through progressive, interdisciplinary curriculum and practice.
During each session we will review a resource, a challenge in teaching, or another prompt to begin our engagement in critical discourse of engaging in Resistant Pedagogies. Whether you have experience applying Resistant Pedagogies, or you are looking for more information on how to incorporate resistant ways of being into your teaching practices, join us for collaborative discourse as we navigate this path together.

Resisting Pedagogies: A Community of Practice
"Resisting Pedagogies" is a community of practice for educators, designed by the CTL to explore innovative curriculum in the arts, sciences and humanities — from queer, disability and gender studies to social work, history, education, business, psychology, drama, communications, English, engineering, law, nursing, and beyond.
Our group meets online monthly to share insights on ways to challenge the status quo, revitalize our teaching, connect across disciplines, introduce new ideas and methodologies, and explore such issues as critical thinking, EDI, social justice, decolonization, anti-racism, and indigenization of the curriculum. We also maintain a Teams website where members share resources, articles, documents and links which support innovative pedagogy.
