Veronika Mogyorody

Dr. Veronika Mogyorody received her Ph.D in Urban and Environmental Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY). She is trained as an architect and urban designer, and has worked on projects associated with sustainable building design and academic learning spaces. She is a Professor Emeritus in the School of Creative Arts, and was instrumental in the creation of the interdisciplinary Visual Arts and the Built Environment (VABE) program, a unique international collaboration with the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Architecture. Her administrative roles at the University of Windsor have included Assistant Provost - Academic Architectural Advisor, Acting Director - Centre for Flexible Learning, Director - Division for Instructional Development, Coordinator of Academic Computing, and Assistant to the Vice-President Academic, Technology. Recognized for her educational leadership, Dr. Mogyorody has been honored with a 3M National Teaching Fellowship, awarded the Brightspace Teaching and Learning Innovation Award, the FAHSS Career Achievement Award, the FAHSS Meritorious Service Award, and the Kate McCrone Teaching Award. Her research has focused on reimagining university spaces and she has been involved with the design and construction process for many of the academic buildings on campus and downtown. Dedicated to the heritage of architecture, Veronika has been a member of various architectural conservation and urban design advisory committees in the region. Dr. Mogyorody is currently a Teaching and Learning Senior Fellow at the Centre for Teaching and Learning.
