Erika Kustra
Dr. Erika Kustra is the Director, Centre for Teaching and Learning. She began her appointment at the University of Windsor as Director of Teaching and Learning Development in the CTL on August 18, 2008.
Dr. Kustra has over 20 years of experience in educational development and has been teaching at the university level since 1992. She came to Windsor from a position as an educational developer in the Centre for Leadership in Learning at McMaster University, where she completed a PhD in psychology and held a post-doctoral fellowship in psychology and the health sciences. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, and Adjunct with the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor and Ontario Institute of Secondary Education.
Dr. Kustra is the former Chair of the Canadian Educational Development Caucus, and has facilitated over 200 workshops nationally and internationally. She has research interests and publications on scholarly teaching, assessment of centres, learning outcomes, educational leadership, conference design, and teaching culture, and has co-authored guides on topics such as discussions, learning outcomes, and educational development portfolios. She has been part of university- and national-level award-winning teams for exemplary collaboration in university teaching and for community development.
