Luis Villanueva
Luis Villanueva (Lui) is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Windsor under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Loeb. His research focuses on Mechanically Interlocked Molecules (MIMs) and their integration into Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) to develop dynamic functional materials. He has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for five years, teaching undergraduate chemistry laboratories. He completed the Graduate Diploma in University Teaching through the Centre for Teaching and Learning in Winter 2026. His interests bridge chemistry, artificial intelligence, and higher education. Beyond academia, Lui is a queer artist and community Zumba instructor who values creativity, inclusion, and lifelong learning.
