This quick session will introduce you to the basic features and functions of Teams so that you can be successful with your new faulty orientation. This workshop will cover signing into Teams, using the Teams app, joining and participating in online meetings, meeting features and the chat function. It is also a great chance to verify that your UWindsor ID is working and you are fully functional in the university systems!

Day 1 will focus on “Getting Started,” and will include introductory remarks from University of Windsor President, Rob Gordon, as well as an Indigenous Welcome offered by Theresa Sims, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper and Indigenous Culture and Language Specialist.

On Day 2, you will have an opportunity to attend “virtual booths” hosted by service units from across campus ranging from the research services to student services. Additional sessions will explore strategies for how we might better work across differences; and questions and issues around the “return to campus.”

Day 3 will include sessions exploring best practices in course design as well as the University’s key bylaws. We will then participate in a session on “making your research matter,” and participants will have the opportunity to share their own research in one-minute elevator pitches.

On Day 4, we will explore your next steps, going forward – sessions will be focused on performance evaluation, tenure/permanence track, and how you might document the impact of your work in teaching dossiers. We will also feature a panel led by faculty and staff from across campus who will provide ideas around how you might “go public” with your work, and different ways of dissemination and communication.
