Making Meaningful Connections: Effective Communication for 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion
Including 2SLGBTQIA+ employees has gone from moral courage to a business imperative. We can't tell someone's sexual orientation or gender identity by looking at them, so the language we use to describe our identities has always been important and somewhat complex. Even those who identify as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community can lose track of the most current and appropriate terms as well as how to use them in various workplace situations.
Join us as Quinn Blue (he / they), Program and Engagement Coordinator at Pride at Work Canada, discusses how to use inclusive language and how to act in allyship.
Learning Goals:
- Inclusive workplace communications around gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation
- What to do when you make a mistake
- How to act in allyship with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities

Creating and Sharing Your eCV
Welcome to an interactive session introducing how to use our ‘eCV’ - an online system for your curriculum vitae (CV) required for renewal, tenure and promotion (RTP) at the University of Windsor. We will introduce how to enter information in the eCV and how to share it with your Head/Dean. We will discuss some lessons learned from personal experience on updating the eCV, and suggestions of where you might include different information. A brief sneak view of the new interface coming late Fall will also be shared.
Bring your laptop with you, follow along, and take the end of the workshop to enter your own information and ask any questions of the facilitators and your peers.
